When to visit Imereti
Imereti is wetter than eastern Georgia and green all year. The Martvili and Okatse canyons are at their best in May–June when the water is high; in the August heat the turquoise pools are especially welcome, but after heavy rain canyon tours are sometimes closed due to water levels.
