Tbilisi has one of the most vibrant street art scenes in the South Caucasus. This tour combines the city's extraordinary murals — some of the largest in Georgia — with its contemporary art galleries and a visit to working artist studios. You'll see a side of Tbilisi that most visitors miss entirely.

Tour Route

11:00 — Fabrika

We start at Fabrika, a Soviet-era textile factory transformed into Tbilisi's creative hub. The courtyard is surrounded by studios, cafes, and shops run by local designers and artists. The walls are covered in murals — a mix of local and international street artists. We grab a coffee and explore the courtyard before heading into the neighbourhood.

12:00 — Chugureti Murals

The Chugureti and Marjanishvili districts have become Tbilisi's outdoor gallery. The Markarashvili and Eliava Street murals include some of the largest and most technically ambitious street art in Georgia — political, surreal, and strikingly beautiful. We walk through the neighbourhood and I explain the stories behind each work.

13:00 — Georgian National Gallery

A visit to see the original paintings of Niko Pirosmani (1862-1918), Georgia's most beloved artist. Pirosmani painted on black oilcloth — a unique medium that gives his work an almost photographic quality. His subjects: Georgian tavern life, animals, noble patrons. He lived in poverty and died of starvation while his contemporaries in Europe called him a genius. The National Gallery holds the most important collection of his surviving work.

14:00 — Artist Ceramic Studio

We finish at a working ceramics studio where a Tbilisi artist creates traditional and contemporary Georgian ceramics. You can watch the process and purchase directly from the artist.
