7-Day Itinerary Overview

Days 1-2 — Tbilisi

Two days in Georgia's capital allows you to go beyond the tourist trail. Day 1: old Tbilisi — sulphur baths, Narikala, wooden balconies, Bridge of Peace, Dezertir Market. Day 2: modern Tbilisi — the Rustaveli Avenue museums, Mtatsminda Park by funicular, the Dry Bridge antique market, an evening wine bar.

Day 3 — Mtskheta and Kazbegi

A stop at Jvari and Svetitskhoveli in Mtskheta en route north to Kazbegi. Evening in the mountains.

Day 4 — Kazbegi

Full day at altitude: morning hike to Gergeti Trinity Church (2170m) with Mount Kazbek views, afternoon walk along the Terek River gorge. Optional: horse riding or a longer trail to Gveleti waterfall.

Day 5 — Kakheti Wine Region

East to Kakheti: Sighnaghi hilltop town, Bodbe Monastery (pilgrimage site of St. Nino), and a family winery for qvevri amber wine tasting — the first of two included wine experiences.

Day 6 — Kutaisi

West to Kutaisi: Gelati Cathedral (UNESCO), Prometheus Cave (boat ride on underground river), Okatse Canyon. Overnight in Kutaisi.

Day 7 — Batumi and Return

South to Batumi on the Black Sea for a second wine tasting at a Adjarian winery, Gonio Fortress, Batumi Botanical Garden, and the Boulevard before the return drive to Tbilisi.
